This is a citizenship document written by Thomas S Armstrong clerk of the Superior Court of Law for the county of Stokes certifying that Smith Carson an "alien" from Antrim County Ireland appeared in said court in October term 1824 and made a report of himself and his family according to law for their naturalization. It was signed on the 15th day of April 1830 by Tho T Armstrong, clerk.
