Description
This 1866 document is the patent for the David Carson Estate DLC. It is not signed by David Carson. It is unclear why this was issued in 1866 and not earlier, but I've seen other instances of land patents being issued long after families met the qualifications for clear ownership of the land. This is also strange since It includes the land claim number 22.18 as well as two dates at the bottom; October 8th, 1866, and October 19th, 1866. The origin of this document is unclear and is especially strange since it is dated over ten years after David Carson's death.
