Title

March 13, 1854 Andrew Thayer Statement on behalf of Letitia Carson, two pages.

Description

Two pages long. First of two pages documenting lawyer Andrew Thayer's statement on behalf of Letitia Carson during her first court battle with Greenberry Smith. The statement outlines Henry W. Knighton as a material witness because he sold a cow to David Carson who informed Knighton he was buying the cow for Letitia with her money. It appears to be a preliminary court document establishing Letitia Carson's position against Greenberry Smith, signed by A. N. Locke Judge of Probate in Benton County.

On the second of two pages, this statement written by Andrew Thayer on behalf of Letitia Carson is briefly concluded by signatures from Andrew Thayer as well as the Judge of Probate on this second page.
