Title

Historic Photograph, View of the Soap Creek Valley

Description

A view of the Soap Creek Valley looking north northeast, probably from the Sam Moore homestead. In the distance is Coffin Butte. The image is from a collection of images scanned in from 4"x5" glass plate negatives that were donated to the Soap Creek Valley schoolhouse in 1980 accompanied with handwritten notes by Myra Lauridsen. The images seem to be from around the early 1900s. According to Myra Lauridsen, this is a photo of her father on a horse named Billy Bow Legs.
