Undated Greenberry Smith Notification, 2 pages

This document is a notification from Greenberry Smith to the Surveyor General of Oregon of Settlement on Public Land. Smith, the administrator of David Carson's estate concerning the Donation Land Claim act of 1860. It is unclear the intention of this notification, perhaps it is to declare his ownership of a land claim that was once David Carsons. It includes coordinates of the land, and has a back page with a map of David Carson's land as well. It is undated but is likely from the period after David's death in 1852 and the sale of David Carson's estate from the ownership of Greenberry Smith to George Fogle in 1857.
