This document is a clipping of the Umpqua Trapper, a Douglas County Historical Society publication. This 1967 issue contains an article written by George B. Abdill in which he discusses the history of Letitia Carson. It is an early example of the history coming to light surrounding Letitia Carson, and the beginnings of attempts to understand what her story was. The last page is a map of South Myrtle Creek, where Letitia or Tish lived after being forced off her Benton County land.
