Description
This document is an appraiser oath confirming that those appraising the worth of David Carson's Missouri estate had no stake or interest in the estate as heirs or otherwise. It is date July 8th, 1853, and reads, "We RF Mason Josiah Farley and William English all of the County of Platte do severally make affidavit and state that we all either of us are not interested, nor next of kin to any person interested in the estate of David Carson late of the State
of Oregon deceased, as heir or devisee, and that we severally will to the best of our ability, view and appraise the land of said deceased to the Best of our ? [fragment]." It is then signed by Justice of the Peace B.A. Trent and RF Mason, Josiah Farley, and William English, the appraisers. The files attached are different scans of the same page.
