Oct 22, 1859 Estate Payment-J Carson

This document is a record of the estate payment to James Carson as James H. Carson as one of the heirs at Law of David Carson decd & being a Son of John Carson (David's brother) to David Carson's estate. The document reads, "Received of Lycurgus Shepard the Sum of Twenty four Dollars & sixty-seven cents n full of the distribution Share of James H. Carson as one of the heirs at Law of David Carson decd & being a Son of John Carson Senr deceased in and to the real estate of Said David Carson Decd Sold by order of the Platte Circuit Court for Partition & Division amongst the heirs thereof the Said James H. Carson being entitled to the above sum as heirs aforesaid out of Said Real Estate." It was signed on October 22nd, 1859 by Attest J.G. Spratt, and for James Carson by Mathew Carson Attorney, as well as W.C. Remington Recorder. The files include two different scans of the same page.
