Oct 22, 1859 Estate Payment-A Carson

This document is a record of the estate payment to Andrew Carson, David Carson's brother. It reads, "Received of Lycurgus Shepard late Sheriff the Sum of Two Hundred Sixty-two Dollars & seventy-five cents in full of the distribution Share of Andrew Carson in Real Estate of David Carson Sold by an order of the court the Platte Circuit Court for partition and division amongst the heirs of Said Decd the Said Andrew Carson being a Brother of Said Deceased and entitled to the one-Seventh of the proceeds of Said Sale as his due proportion." It was signed on October 22nd, 1859 by Attest J.G. Spratt, and for Andrew Carson by Mathew Carson Attorney, as well as W.C. Remington Recorder. The files include two different scans of the same document.
