June 21, 1858 Estate Payment

This document records the sum of $259.60 from the sale of the Real Estate of David Carson, for the "Partition & Division of the Same amongst the Legal heirs of and Said David Carson’s decd by which decree our decd father James Carson is Honored to have hold and enjoy one-Sixth of said Land & the Same interest in the purchase money arising therefrom which Lands being Sold would make our interest in the purchase money of Said Lands $259.60 dollars there being but two Living heirs of the Said Jas Carson that ourselves to wit:
Benjamin Young & William Carson the said Young in Right of his wife Jane Carson Each one [incomplete] of us being entitled to the one half the above Sum which we have this day Received." The document lists the legal heirs of David Carson's Missouri land in the wake of its sale. It is signed by Benjamin Young By M Carson agt William Carson By M Carson agt and by recorder W. C. Remington on June 21st, 1858 and was received by Lycurgus Shepard, the sheriff of Platte County, MO. The files include two different scans of the same document.
